upcoming events: salt lake city public library

I just wanted to draw your attention to the Events page and remind you about next Wednesday’s event at the Salt Lake City Public Library. It’s on August 17th (so just a week away!) and will run from 6-9 p.m. They have lots of fun Matched-based activities beginning at 6:00 and then I’ll speak at 7:00 and sign books afterwards. This event is going to be AWESOME, you guys. They have a scavenger hunt planned, Grandfather’s last meal, etc., etc. all in store for you. And the library is gorgeous. And…

…thanks to the lovely Marie at Penguin, I have two ARCs of CROSSED to give away at the end of the evening! We’ll likely have some kind of drawing and you must be present to win. So I very much hope to see you there!

Oh, this Michigander is jealous! Wish I could be there! I’ve never had an ARC before, CROSSED would be simply amazing to have before it’s release! Sounds like a wonderful event. Come to Michigan sometime 🙂

This South Dakotan is also bummed! I pre-ordered my copy of Crossed for my Nook Color before I even had my Nook in my hands. I can’t wait!

I’m actually going to be in town that week, just a few hours away (by car) but we’re vivisting relatives and one’s due to have her baby on the 17th so no can do 🙁 I really wish I was visiting Utah for something less important, not that i’m not excited for the baby! Have fun! Wish I could be there!

Grandfather’s last meal? That is too cute. Even though these people aren’t real, it always amazes me how writers and readers breath life into them through their imaginations.

I don’t think I’ve seen a library more beautiful or epic looking. What a great place for an event. Enjoy and all the best in all you do 🙂

Hey Ally, I just saw on your events page that you’ll be coming to Pudd’nhead Books in St. Louis in November – my hometown bookstore! (They’re a great store, and they’re wonderful about getting good authors to come.)
    Looking forward to meeting you.

We are currently living in SLC so I will definitely be there. I haven’t seen you since our early days in the Cornell Branch and have loved “keeping in touch” via your blog and books!
