First of all, I got the amazing news yesterday that MATCHED reached #3 on the NYT list this week! Wahoo! We’ve been on the list for five weeks now and it’s all thanks to you. I really, REALLY appreciate your support of the book. Never in my life would I have thought this would happen. Ever. But it’s so wonderful and I’m so grateful.
My webmaster (aka my husband, who does this kind of thing to help me because I am hopeless) fixed things up a little around here. We updated the FAQ section. And fixed some broken links. And added something to the sidebar…MATCHED links! There’s the link to the official site (which has the official message boards), and also links to two fantastic fan sites. I was over the moon when I found out about them (I am unaffiliated with them in any official capacity but of course I think it is awesome that people care about the book so much). They do a great job…I have to say that sometimes they know things before I do!
(If there are any other sites of which I should be aware, please let me know!)
Also, I will definitely be going on tour in February. I don’t have firm dates/places yet, but I will post them as soon as I do. Right now it looks like I’ll be going to NYC, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Raleigh.
The state paper (Salt Lake Tribune) ran an article on me this past Sunday. Click here to read it. Ben Fulton, the reporter, was so nice and did a great job with the article.
My hometown paper (the Cedar City Daily Spectrum) also ran a great article but you have to be a subscriber to view it, so I can’t link. But I wanted to mention it too because the Spectrum reporter was lovely as well.
MATCHED was mentioned for a third time in Entertainment Weekly (the Jan. 7 issue).
And, FINALLY: we have also figured out how I can reply directly to comments! So I am going to try to do much better about that (carpal tunnel and deadlines permitting). I commented away on the last post and it was awesome.
2011 is shaping up very nicely indeed.
