new ARC winner!

So, the original winner didn’t claim the ARC and the new winner is:

TheLibraryLurker (comment #107)!

Congratulations! šŸ™‚

And, the lovely and kind and incredibly talented author Gayle Forman is also giving away an ARC of MATCHED on her blog. Click here for more info. I got to meet Gayle at BEA and she was SO LOVELY to me. It’s so nice when someone whose writing you admire is kind to you.

There are other giveaways going on as well. Which is very fun.

No camera yet. I think the car company must be holding it hostage. They haven’t told me what the ransom is yet though so I can’t pay it.

So maybe I will just give up and write the BEA post on Tuesday, pictures or no pictures. Is the suspense killing you? Let me set the stage. Me. In New York. In a fancy restaurant. Drinking water instead of a cocktail (as always).

I know. Riveting, right?

    Congratulations, TheLibraryLurker! :]

I have heard so many great things about IF I STAY, and I love Gayle Forman’s blog — so I will definitely have to check it out. And oh, I’m definitely looking forward to the BEA pics when the car company releases the hostage. ;]

Congrats to winner number two. I thought about trying to win another ARC, but let’s be honest, I’ve already ordered a copy and will probably read it all that night, and in reality my summer reading list is ginormous anyway.

That doesn’t mean I’m still not jealous though šŸ™‚

I met Anita Stansfield at the Storymakers conference this year and she was so nice. We chatted one on one for about 20 minutes about getting published in the LDS market, and then she gave me a copy of one of her books and wrote a nice message inside to me. I thought she rocked. It is nice to find out an author is as amazing as you hoped. Because let me tell you, I met a few LDS authors that were much less than impressive, and it was highly disappointing.

    Allie:
Did you see that I got 102 comments on my blog requesting the ARC of MATCHED???!!!! Amazing.
BTW, I’m also the one nursing a lemonade/cranberry juice/seltzer or other mocktail at the NYC dinners, while everyone else has drinks. There are lots of choices other than water, including some very tasty mocktails.

MissHavoc: Thanks for cheering her on!

Sandy: I hope they release it soon. I’m starting to get a little nervous that the ransom is about to be upped.

Tasha: You are the best. I am still hoping to come to CHS in the fall if you still want me to!

Susan: That is so wonderful about Anita! I met her at a conference once and thought she was very gracious.

Gayle: Thank you for doing that contest! And for educating me about mocktails.

Jen: Thank you for the congrats!

Stacey: Thanks, and thanks! And I hope you like the BEA post!
