more excitement

photo (c) Brook Andreoli, from the MATCHED launch party on Saturday at The King’s English Bookshop

What a week it’s been. And I have still more news (and a party invitation for you):

MATCHED was chosen as the #1 YA title on Amazon’s Best Books of the Month for December (and MATCHED is also the the #8 pick overall!). Click here to read the list.

And MATCHED is in Entertainment Weekly again this week! I can’t find a link to it online but it’s in the print version so I imagine the online link will be up shortly. So fun!

And, the launch party at The King’s English Bookshop was unbelievably wonderful (I will post a full recap, with pictures, later this week). I am so indebted to those lovely booksellers, particularly Anne and Rachel. It was a day I will always remember.

If you missed the launch, there is still the MATCHED Launch Party at the Provo Library–and people, Courtney Lowe knows how to throw a party. Please come–books will be on sale for 30% off–and it would be so great to see you there. I can’t wait! It’s Tuesday (tomorrow), December 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Provo Library in the Bullock Room.

Many thanks to those of you who have already taken the time to read the book, e-mail me about it, visit the blog, post a review, tell a friend…I am very grateful. VERY grateful. This has been one of the best weeks of my life and it’s all thanks to you.

I planned that picture just right- front and center.

That was such a fun party- you were so kind and gracious despite the 2.6 million people in line! Can’t wait for the next party.

Ally, I am about halfway through Matched and I must say that I am LOVING it! You are a good writer, not like the one we talked about at the library!

I am so please and happy for your good fortune. At least you deserve it!

Congrats Ally! I got my copy last Tuesday, and I can’t wait to get started reading it! (I know, I know…why haven’t I started yet!!! I was in the midst of another book, and wanted to give yours my full attention!!) Anyway, I was just on Amazon, and Matched is listed in the Best Books of December category! Just thought you’d like to know! 🙂

I read Matched in two days. LOVE it! I’ve told all my friends about it, and posted on Facebook and Twitter that it is the best book I’ve read all year. And that includes the Hunger Games which were very good, but just not as good as Matched. Can’t wait for Crossed!

I am a youth librarian in Scottsdale, AZ. Just finished Match half an hour ago and could not wait to tell you how much I liked it and want to recommend it to our teen readers. Then I see the picture of the King’s English Bookshop and memoires of time spent there when I lived in SLC with my family in the early 90’s come rushing back. I’m sure this has been such an exciting time for you. Congratulations! I’m already impatient for the next installment in Ky and Cassia’s story.
